One base price. No upsells. An estimate when you want one.

$175for a basic tax return

A federal and Colorado return with W-2 and 1099-R income and the standard deduction, reviewed with you and e-filed. That is the whole price. There are no add-ons, no products and no fees taken out of your refund.

Colorado return included for full-year Colorado residents.

From there, price depends on your return

Basic to very complex Our office prepares everything from a one-W-2 return to complex business returns. Every return starts at $175, and what is added depends on the schedules and forms yours needs: itemized deductions, investment sales, self-employment, rental property, a farm, a second state, K-1s.
S corporation returns: typically $750 That is a typical fee for a basic Form 1120-S. Partnership and corporate returns vary with complexity, and we will give you an estimate once we have seen the books.
We don’t quote over the phone We don’t know how complex a return is until we have all of your source documents. A return that sounds simple often isn’t, and one that sounds complicated sometimes is. A quote before we have seen the documents would be a guess.
Ask for an estimate Once we have all of your documents, if price matters to you, ask. We will look at what you brought and tell you what the return will cost before we prepare it. If something turns up during preparation that changes the price, you hear about it before we finish, not on the invoice.

What we don’t sell

No refund advance loans. No “audit protection” plans. No bank products or fees deducted from your refund. No bookkeeping packages, insurance or investments. We prepare tax returns, and that is what you pay for.

If you need something we don’t do, such as bookkeeping or setting up a corporation, we will tell you who we recommend. We don’t take referral fees.
